Jennifer Che, J.D. is a US Patent Attorney, President and Managing Director at Eagle IP, a boutique patent firm with offices in Hong Kong and Shenzhen.
A science nerd at heart, Jennifer graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and worked as a scientist before moving into IP law. She currently oversees the life science practice at Eagle IP. Prior to joining Eagle IP, Jennifer spent close to 20 years working in the biopharmaceutical industry in Boston (US) where she devised complex global IP strategies and oversaw IP portfolios at both large S&P 500 companies as well as venture-backed start ups.
Dr. Jacqueline Lui (Jackie) is Founder and Director at Eagle IP, a boutique patent firm with offices in Hong Kong and Shenzhen. Jackie founded Eagle IP in 2005 after several years overseeing patent departments at two large multinational firms. Jackie is a US registered patent agent and specializes in cross-jurisdiction patent prosecution. She has been involved in advising Fortune 500 companies and HK/Nasdaq-listed companies on IP-related matters such as strategic planning, patent drafting and prosecution, portfolio management, technology transfer, due diligence and enforcement worldwide for over 20 years.
Ms. Yolanda Wang is a Principal, Chinese Patent Attorney and Chinese Patent Litigator at Eagle IP. She can represent clients before the courts in China. She has over 15 years of IP experience, including 13 years at Eagle IP.
Yolanda oversees the China patent prosecution team at Eagle IP and focuses on advising foreign and local clients on patent rights, portfolio management and strategy worldwide. Besides her bioengineering specialization, Yolanda also has extensive experience drafting and prosecuting patents in a wide range of technologies including nanofabrication technology, material science, control system, IT technology, and mechanical technology. Her practice includes patent invalidation oral hearings before the Patent Review Board (PRB) at CNIPA (China National Intellectual Property Administration, formerly SIPO). Yolanda is also a team leader in handling patent prosecution in China.
Ms. Pauli Wong is a Principal and Chinese Patent Attorney at Eagle IP. She has been at Eagle IP for over 8 years. Pauli oversees the patent drafting team at Eagle IP, and also manages global patent prosecution for her clients. She drafts and prosecutes patent applications in a wide range of technology areas including biology, biotechnology, medical devices, chemistry, engineering, and material science for local and international clients in Hong Kong and the US.
Before jumping into the patent world, Pauli gained a rich portfolio of technical experience in R&D, method development and validation in the areas of chemistry, microbiology, molecular biology, proteomics, and chemistry from her previous positions at CK Life Sciences Limited. Pauli also worked in a HOKLAS accredited lab, was familiar with ISO 17025 and was an approved signatory for microbiological tests in food at International Food Safety Testing Centre Limited, a subsidiary of CK Life Sciences.
Pauli has a strong life science foundation, from her Bachelors degree in Animal and Plant Biotechnology (B.Sc.) to her M.Phil. degree in Biology from The University of Hong Kong (HKU). Her research at HKU involved heterologous expression of a recombinant metallothionein gene from a water plant in yeast.

Eddie is a qualified Chinese Patent Attorney at Eagle IP and has extensive experience drafting and prosecuting patent applications in a wide range of technology areas, including pharmaceuticals, chemistry, biology, biotechnology, medical devices, material science, engineering, and software.
Before joining Eagle IP, Eddie worked for over four years as a biologist at a pharmaceutical company in Hong Kong, conducting preclinical in vitro and in vivo efficacy and mechanism-of-action studies on novel cancer therapeutics. At Hong Kong Polytechnic University Eddie investigated active ingredients in Traditional Chinese Medicine and their uses in osteoporosis treatment.
Eddie’s areas of expertise include drug discovery, preclinical drug development, protein therapeutics, molecular and cell biology, immunotherapy and cancer diagnostic assays development.
Hebe is a qualified Chinese Patent Attorney at Eagle IP with over 15 years’ experience. Hebe particularly has extensive experience in patent drafting and prosecution, having drafted and/or prosecuted over 500 patent cases. She also represents clients in patent re-examinations and invalidations before the CNIPA (China National Intellectual Property Administration, formerly SIPO).
Before joining Eagle IP, Hebe worked as a patent attorney at Guangdong Guanghe Law Firm in Shenzhen, Guangdong province. Prior to her time in Shenzhen, Hebe worked for over six years as IP Department Leader at a medical device company in Suzhou, Jiangsu province.
Hebe has a unique blend of technical and legal training, between her bio-medical engineering degree at Chanzhi Medical College to her Masters in Civil and Commercial Law from Renmin University in China.
Hebe’s areas of expertise include biomedical engineering, chemical processing technology, medical devices, mechanical and electrical engineering, machinery, software, smartphones, and communication technology.
Bill is a qualified Chinese Patent Attorney at Eagle IP and handles the prosecution of patent applications in a wide ranges of technology areas including biology, chemistry and medical devices.
Prior to joining Eagle IP, Bill worked as a scientist at the City University of Hong Kong and the University of Würzburg, Germany. His previous research included investigating telomeres and telomerase at the City University of Hong Kong and researching melanoma at Würzburg University.
Bill’s areas of expertise include genetics, molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry, and biotechnology.
Audrey Cheung is a qualified Chinese Patent Attorney at Eagle IP and assists in patent drafting and prosecution in areas such as chemistry, material science, medical devices, biochemistry, and biology.
Audrey’s experience in chemistry is wide and varied. At Western Washington University, Audrey’s research focused on the study of biomimetic catalysis for small molecule activation. She continued her study in this area at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, where she also worked as a graduate student instructor for two years. She later returned to Hong Kong, spending time as a lab technician in an international testing lab and working as a chemist in an electroplating solution company.
Audrey’s areas of expertise include small molecules, material science, bioinorganic chemistry, metal surface chemistry, and electrochemistry.
